“Dear young people, we didn’t come into this world to ‘vegetate’, to take it easy, to make our lives a comfortable sofa to fall asleep on,” said Pope Francis at World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow, Poland. “No, we came for another reason: to leave a mark. It is very sad to pass through life without leaving a mark.”
Bishop Bambera is inviting the young church of the Diocese of Scranton to once again gather in the Cathedral of Saint Peter on Sunday, November 3 for a special Mass at 5 p.m. followed by an interactive reception in the Diocesan Pastoral Center. As the young church gathers, the question at hand: How are you answering Pope Francis’ call to ‘leave a mark’ and live as intentional and missionary disciples in our world today?
All are welcome to attend, especially high school students, college students, and young adults.
